Drive
This type of tyre has been specifically developed for fitment on drive (or sometimes called torque) axles. Typically the tyre has a sipe-centric tread designs – which works to increase the levels of traction on different surfaces.
Steer
This type of tyre has been designed to perform at their best when fitted onto the front (steer) axle. Their performance heavily affects the overall handling and ride comfort of a vehicle. The tyres often feature ribbed tread designs to evacuate water from the path of the tyre – helping to increase wet performance.
Trailer
This type of tyre has been designed to cope with high levels of lateral and braking force. It is also important that they can perform under heavy loads. As such they are developed to best perform in trailer axle positions. Typically they feature reinforced sidewalls for strength and to help reduce the risk of curbing damage.
