Product description & features

The Phi-R is designed with a triple rib tread compound, strengthening the tyre’s stability and handling at top speeds.

Additional sipes are featured on the tyre, leading to less external tyre noise whilst driving.

This Accelera tyre is available in 15-21-inch rim sized tyres.

Optimised Wet Braking

Developed with four wide circumferential grooves, the Phi-R tackles water dispersion from the sides of the tyre effectively.

This helps with the tyre’s performance on slippery road surfaces, giving you a safe journey no matter what the driving condition is.

The tires are slippery both wet and dry, the driving feeling is in overall unsafe and unsatisfactory. The label shows also that’s all season , but are useless on icing condition. As info, are mounted in the fwd axle and slippery again in every corner or round bound. I’m going to replace by a different brand that I already tested in my other car. Maybe are working better in another car models but not in mine.

Well, I bought the car specifically to drive from UK to Gambia to be used as an ambulance, so fitting new (matched) tyres was just sensible preparation for the 4500 mile journey. I have had Accelera tyres before, and found them good for all conditions. Even though we passed through various temperatures (from -4C to 42C) the tyres performed adequately. The final destination dictated that we needed Summer tyres, not 3PMSF, so the car was driven appropriately for the weather at the time. The tyres never felt unsafe (even in the snow on the Atlas Mountains), were not noisy, and kept pressure. Tread wear was minimal and now I have donated the vehicle with 4 very good tyres which should last a fair while.
