Product description & features
SealTech Technology seals punctures up to 5mm
New Grip Booster compound provides strong traction in various driving conditions
Active Braking Technology ensures reliable, shorter braking distances
The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SealTech is a high performance car tyre developed by Goodyear to provide shorter braking distances and trustworthy handling.
Goodyear have created the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SealTech tyre with their new Grip Booster tread compound. This uses adhesive resins within the compound mix to deliver extra grip to enhance braking and handling capabilities.
The use of Goodyear's Active Braking Technology in the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SealTech ensures that when braking the contact surface between the tyre and road increases - greatly enhancing the braking performance and delivery short braking distances on both wet and dry road surfaces.
The tyre features ‘SealTechTechnology’ that was designed by Goodyear. The tyre has been designed to automatically seal punctures of up to 5mm in diameter in the tyre tread area. SealTech technology helps reduce the need to immediately stop or change the tyre, without affecting the performance of the tyre.
What are summer tyres?
Summer tyres are specifically designed for warm weather conditions, particularly during the summer season. This type of tyre performs best when in seasons with warmer temperatures - above 7°C.
How does a summer tyre perform better in summer?
The technologies and tread patterns used in a summer tyre mean the tyres have high-quality features that are of benefit to driving in warm conditions. They typically use a softer rubber compound – designed for good grip and traction when driving on dry and wet roads.
Can you use summer tyres in winter?
Whilst summer tyres still offer adequate performances in wet and cooler conditions, it is recommended that you change. The tread design and technologies that are featured in summer tyres can harden in colder temperatures, resulting in reduced flexibility and decreased traction on snow and ice.
