The Kinergy 4S 2 X is an all-season SUV tyre designed to offer an outstanding and reliable overall performance in all weather conditions.

Created with a high grip silica compound with a high ratio of organic raw materials, the Kinergy 4S 2 X has been designed to further improve grip during all weathers. The extra-wide grooves featured on the tyre in combination with the ‘two-step aqua slant’ also featured helps to reduce the chances of aquaplaning by dispersing of water and slush swiftly while maintaining the rigidity of the tyre.

The distinctive v-shaped tread design improves the cutting edge of the Kinergy 4S 2 X, allowing for enhanced grip no matter the weather. In addition, there is a range of high-density summer sipes within the tyre in order to reinforce the block strength and ensure better results in dry conditions.

The Hankook Kinergy 4S 2 X - 215/55 R18 V is an all season tyre.

I bought a pair of Hankook Kinergy tyres shortly before setting off on a 1,500 mile road trip through Spain and France that included several days in the Pyrenees. I had already fitted Goodyear Vector tyres on the front, and needed something for the rears. I have had good experience with Hankook in the past so decided to try their all-season tyres (especially as the price was competitive too). On the road trip the conditions ranged from +20C sunshine through torrential rain to -5C with heavy snow. Due to the Kodiaq’s Haldex system, most of the work is done by the front wheels unless the rears are needed. When we had snow and ice the Hankooks performed excellently. When we were just tootling along they were quiet and gave the heavily loaded rear end a very secure feeling. Now that we are back in the UK they are, in the most positive sense, unnoticeable. We’ll see what happens when the weather gets really bad in the Summer (I.e. terrible heat). My view at the moment is that these are great tyres to fit to the rear of a front wheel drive or variable drive car, and will be my automatic choice in the future.

Wanted a higher performance All Season tyre to replace the Winter tyres I had used before. On the whole dry grip/wet grip and braking are very good. The problem I find is that when the temp gets to 5 and below the compound is too stiff. Once heat is in the tyres they perform well, it just feels as if you've lost the power steering on the car until then, worse than when I run my Summer Pirelli P Zeros when cold. Think I'll be going back to softer Winter tyres when these are used.

These tyres perform well in wet cold weather. In dry summer conditions they are no better than most other tyres I have used. I am unable to say how well they work in snow and ice as the west country has very few days with snow laying.

So bad, car won't keep the track. Tyres are only about half way worn and tyres are already so bad. They are just acceptable on dry conditions but if road is a bit wed the tyres are shockingly bad, no save to drive, just scared for winter but have put too much money so can't just throw half worn tyres out.
