Michelin have created the CrossClimate 2 to provide motorists with a safe drive no matter the weather.

With a directional tread pattern, the CrossClimate 2 quickly gets rid of water from the tyre providing exceptional grip in wet conditions. The tread pattern features 3-D sipeLock technology to enhance treadwear resistance and a distinctive V-formation pattern to spread out weight evenly throughout, extend the treadlife of the tyre as well as improving grip – in dry weathers all the way to the snowiest of days.

Michelin have designed this tyre with safety at the forefront with the Cross Climate 2 stopping up to 16 feet shorter than competitor tyres based on Michelin testing.

They performed particularly well over the winter when we had snow and ice. The grip is excellent and gave me confidence while driving in dodgy conditions, especially on the high level routes in the highlands where road clearing and gritting is not a priority. I drove steadily on while others were sliding off the road. The tyres are great in the wet as well - and we've had plenty of that this last year too. I lose a few mpg over the summer months compared to slicks but it is worth it for the grip in poor weather and saves having to change over to winter tyres each autumn.

These are outstanding tyres for every day use. While they are not a track tyre they provide excellent feel and grip on the road in the summer for general road use, similar to a top range summer touring tyre. In winter conditions they are far superior to such a summer touring tyre, giving much more confidence. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for.
