I got these winter tyres in 2022, we live out in the sticks & the roads dont get treated, However we never had any snow last year, so can't comment on How they performed in the white stuff.. but generally in the cold & wet, they were not what i would call grippy, the understeer was borderline dangerous at times.. I have used other brands of winter tyres over the years, that have been fantastic (Falken & Vredestein), but they were not available in my size at time of purchase... The reviews for these were pretty good, but unfortunately that was not my experience...

I'm very impressed with these winter tyres. I've run them longer into the summer season than previously this year and have been very impressed with their dry and warm weather handling. They feel very secure and predictable, none of the flexing you usually get with siped tyre blocks. Braking has been responsive and predictable as well. It was an exceptionally wet winter, the tyres handle these conditions with the same aplomb as everything else, ditto the snow and ice when it did arrive. All round an excellent tyre that you could probably run as an all season if you wish, I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a winter tyre.

I bought these as winter tyres for my Fabia VRS as I live in a fairly hilly part of South Yorkshire. Weather has varied from well below freezing and snow to mid teens so far and these tyres have performed very well throughout. I was put off initially by the professional reviews but decided to take a chance on them due to limited size availability and cost. As noted above they are fine in all winter conditions, cornering grip is great, economy is unaffected at 51mpg, breaking and initial traction are reduced against my summer Rainsports but I think that's to be expected. The ride is also comfortable with no more noise than usual. Altogether I'd recommend these tyres to anyone looking for a winter tyre, particularly given the very reasonable cost.

Initially all tyres would lose grip in a predictable manner with sudden inputs until worn in. Found inflating as per the fully laden vehicle recommendation made them handle very well and I can almost drive like on mid-premium spec summer tyres. Do not crab at low speeds like the bridgestones which is a massive improvement. Cheap enough to buy twice a year.

Dreadful. In anything other than bone dry conditions the lack of grip is terrifying. We bought these tyres to go on a ski trip which was ultimately cancelled due to covid so, in fairness, we haven't actually experienced their performance on snow. However... We had them fitted in November and immediately noticed that the car would spin the wheels reversing out of our inclined driveway, which never happened previously. I put this down to the fact that it was incredibly mild and that these tyres are designed to perform best below 7 degrees. Perhaps things would improve when it got colder? Unfortunately not. The car, which usually handles pretty well, now routinely spins the back wheels whilst pulling away and understeers in the presence of any moisture. I will be removing these tyres in early March once the chance of snow has completely faded and will only put them back on if we are actually going to the mountains. We have had a couple of terrifying near misses and would urge anyone considering these tyres to choose an alternative.
