Product description & features

The Pirelli P Zero is an ultra high performance tyre selected as original equipment (OE) on some of the world's premium cars - including the Ferrari 599 GTB, Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT, Audi Quattro R8 and Mercedes S-Class AMG.

Pirelli have constructed the P Zero with a striking asymmetric pattern to deliver an even wear and lower noise levels, to help aid in a comfortable driving experience.

P Zero tyres are available in 17 inch, 18 inch, 19 inch, 20 inch, 21 inch and 22 inch rim tyre sizes.

Reduced Risk of Aquaplaning

The PZero tyres contain three wide longitudinal grooves which work to collect and disperse surface water away from the path of the tyre quickly. This helps the P Zer to reduce the risk of aquaplaning in wet conditions, as well as deliver a good grip on rain covered roads.

Strong Traction & Braking

The P Zero tread pattern features three solid central ribs which work to optimise the contact area between the road and tyre - delivering a reliable braking performance and ensured grip at high speeds.

Regret fitting these tyres, poor performance, spin up easily in the dry, Don't give you confidence in the wet. Fragile, Damaged easily on the smallest of deviations to the poor road surfaces, pot holes, low kerbs, speed bumps etc that we have to contend with. Should have kept with the Dunlops far superior all round.

Very Disappointed with these P ZERO tyres, Handling and Performance is poor, They can't handle The Jag XF's 275bhp (500Nm), rear wheels spin up when you pull away quickly in the dry, in the wet you have no chance, Traction control has to work overtime. Side Walls are too soft, Don't give you confidence in fast corners (understeer) Fragile, avoid all minor kerbs & pot holes, hit a pot small hole at 30mph (30mm deep) & tyre side wall failed bulged. These replaced Dunlop Sport Max Tyres, 26000mls, In my experience are a Far superior Tyre, in the wet and dry. Should have saved my money and stayed with what i Know, and not believe in all the hype of P Zeros.

The tyres are very good, but I don’t have anything to compare them to on this car. These Pirellis are one of the manufacturers’ recommended tyres, although the car is a Quattro and these are only AO as opposed to RO1 designation. I may try Dunlop SP QuattroMaxx next time as these appear to be the recommended RO1 tyre. Even with the OEM tyres, it is important to rotate the tyres from time to time - for Quattro/4WD this should be a diagonal-type permutation.
