Bridgestone Potenza Sport vs Pirelli P Zero PZ4

The Potenza Sport and P Zero (PZ4) are two premium tyre models manufactured by two leading tyre brands – Bridgestone and Pirelli respectively.

With Bridgestone and Pirelli spending a number of decades perfecting tyre design and technologies, these two high-performance tyres are great showcases of modern-day advancements within the tyre industry.

But how do these two models compare? Let’s explore that today and see how they match up.

Potenza Sport Overview

The Bridgestone Potenza Sport is an ultra-high performance (UHP) tyre model manufactured by Japanese tyre brand Bridgestone.

Launched by Bridgestone in 2021, the Potenza Sport features an asymmetrical tread pattern paired with reinforced technology to deliver enhanced performance and steering traction.

To maintain grip of the tyre in wet conditions, the Bridgestone model’s specific tread design is built to reduce the risk of aquaplaning, whilst still sustaining optimum braking in dry conditions.

The Bridgestone Potenza Sport replaced the Potenza S001.

The Pirelli P Zero (PZ4) is an ultra-high performance tyre released by Pirelli in 2016.

Optimised for performance vehicles and SUVs, the P Zero is a model that combines Pirelli’s expertise of competitive motorsport with their knowledge designing tyres for top car manufacturers.

The P Zero (PZ4) features Pirelli Noise Cancelling System (PNCS) technology to reduce the tyre noise levels of the model.

Pirelli tyre models, such as the P Zero, has ‘ELECT’ markings on the tyre sidewalls which identifies a tyre to have enhanced performance levels for high-performance electric vehicles.
