Inaugural DriverReviews Customer Choice Awards Launched

This month DriverReviews launched their first annual Customer Choice Awards.

This new unique set of industry accolades, based upon the real experiences and ratings of genuine drivers, allows consumers to discover what real people think of their tyres.

DriverReviews is Europe’s largest verified tyre reviews platform - syndicating more than 240,000 tyre reviews from genuine, verified motorists. Who have collectively driven over 150 million miles.

The awards are based on the collated views and experiences of these people over the past 12 months.

Driver review awardsNot only do the awards give you an insight into the experiences of actual motorists, but Driver Reviews has also produced 9 categories – to cover the most common vehicle types on the UK’s roads today.

All in all, the award categories are said to encompass the most popular vehicles on the market. They include:

To provide an even greater insight into what tyres suit different budgets and lifestyles, each category consists of a ‘winner’ and a ‘highly recommended’ award. In some categories the ratings were so close that a ‘commended’ award was also handed out.

DriverReviews has awarded accolades across a wide range of tyre brands, including the Bridgestone Potenza S001 as the winner of Best Tyres for a Family Car, Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 is a winner in the City Car category, and the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S as the winner in the High Performance car category.

The Michelin CrossClimate family dominated as winners in the All Season and All Season SUV categories with the CrossClimate 2 and CrossClimate 2 SUV taking top spots respectively.

When talking about the new awards, Adam Butcher, Head of Product at DriverReviews said:

“For many shoppers, the tyre buying experience is not a simple one, it is a complicated purchase and that is why DriverReviews partner with multiple tyre retailers and tyre manufacturers to generate 100% authentic tyre reviews to help consumers make an informed choice on their new tyre purchase.”

“We are incredibly excited to launch the first DriverReviews Customer Choice Awards and share the experiences of real-world drivers.

“With consumers taking to the internet to research products before purchase more than ever, DriverReviews is well placed to deliver an impartial and honest platform, allowing motorists to hear from other drivers who are already using the products.

"We look forward to working with consumers to collect more reviews over the coming months and years to grow our feedback to provide even more confidence for potential consumers in the future.”
