These bike tyres include popular tyre series, such as Michelin’s Power series and Road tyres.

Two models taking the spotlight in this article are the Michelin Power 5 and Michelin Road 5, two popular tyre models amongst bikers across the world.

We will be covering key features of both tyres, helping you make an informed choice on which tyre you might prefer.

Power 5 Overview

The Michelin Power 5 is a sport touring motorcycle tyre developed for enhanced cornering and grip.

Michelin’s 2CT+ Technology is developed on the Power 5’s compound, further strengthening the tyre’s grip on both wet and dry roads.

The Power 5’s rigid casing adjusts with the tyre's lean angle, providing stability in both straight lines and corners.

Michelin’s Power 5 tyre delivers an exhilarating ride with its sporty, track-proven profile engineered for enhanced road handling.

Upon its release in 2020, the Power 5 replaced the Michelin Power RS.

Road 5 Overview

The Michelin Road 5, released in 2018, replaced the Michelin Pilot Road 4, immediately establishing itself as a premium motorcycle tyre.

Its superior performance stems from the integration of Michelin's 2CT, 2CT+, and Water Evergrip technologies.

These technologies combine to deliver exceptional wet grip, even with 50% tyre wear, resulting in braking distances comparable to the high-performance Pilot Sport 4car tyre.

Furthermore, the incorporation of Michelin Radial-Act+ technology enhances rigidity, providing increased stability and predictable handling.

This blend of advanced technologies has made the Road 5 a consistently popular choice among motorcyclists, solidifying its place as a leading tyre in Michelin's motorcycle lineup.
