Toyota Yaris Tyre Pressure

Toyota Yaris Tyre Pressure

To get the best performance from your Toyota Yaris – particularly when it comes to handling and braking – it’s important to make sure your tyres are inflated to the recommended manufacturer’s guidelines.

There are a number of Yaris variants on the market though.

So it can be an issue figuring out the correct pressure for your tyres.

In most instances you should be able to find the specific tyre pressure for your tyres on a sticker located on the door jamb of your car.

How To Change Toyota Yaris Tyre Pressure

Maintaining the optimal level of tyre pressure for your car can help to boost the safety aspects of your vehicle. This includes the performance when it comes to handling, braking, and the tyre’s durability.

The two main actions needed to ensure you have the correct tyre pressure is adding air to the tyre or removing air.

How to add pressure to tyres

If you need to increase the pressure of your tyres, the best tool to use is either a tyre pump or an air compressor.

To do this, first you remove the valve cap from the tyre valve. Then add the hose of the tyre pump into the valve.

Once you know how much air to add to the tyre inflate the tyre to the recommended tyre pressure.

How to deflate tyre pressure

If you discover that your tyres are in fact overinflated – you will need to release the air pressure from the tyre.

To do this remove the cap on the valve and then press down on the valve stem. As air is released from the tyre you should hear a slight hissing noise.

Check with a tyre pressure gauge to keep an eye on how low the tyre pressure is dropping.

Release the air pressure in short bursts - so you do not remove too much air.
