Redesigned from the ground up, the Revuelto is the most powerful Lambo in history.
Step aside Aventador, there’s a new, faster bull in town. After 10 long years in production – and a seemingly endless flurry of limited edition, one last hurrah specials – the curtain has finally come down on the old flagship's reign.
The Revuelto certainly has big boots to fill as, despite being a little rough around the edges in places, its predecessor was the beautifully bombastic embodiment of everything the brand stands for. So, can this new contender live up to its father’s legacy?
Well, straight off the bat ICE enthusiasts can breathe a sigh of relief; the symphonic 6.5-litre V12 hasn’t gone anywhere. Rather, Bologna's engineers have added more polish, precision, and power into an already brilliant configuration.
A new V12 (of the same size as before) has somehow been developed to produce a colossal 814 wild Italian stallions at over 9000 rpm, while also negotiating increasingly stringent emissions regulations. The story doesn’t end there either: three electric motors throw a further 187 bhp between both axles for a grand total of 1001 bhp.

It’s probably a bit of a rocketship then? Well, 0-60 is dispatched in 2.5 seconds, and even more astonishingly, it will be clocking 124 mph by the time a MK7 VW Golf GTI has hit 62 mph. Flat-out you’ll be covering over three and a half miles a minute, at 217 mph. Helping to achieve these mind-warping stats a new double-clutch gearbox (the old neck-snapping single clutcher has received its P45) delivers instantaneous changes.
Interestingly the Revuelto sits on Bridgestone rubber, but with such accomplished alternatives from Michelin’s Pilot Sport 4 S to Continental’s SportContact 7, Lamborghini was presumably spoilt for choice when it came to tyres.
Further interesting curios include the 13 different drive modes to choose from. We imagine these will start at sport and culminate in a full-on ballistic setting. And, the fact the hybrid setup can drive two different gear speeds at the same time – we wouldn’t want to be the ones footing the bill if that goes wrong.
As far as drawbacks go, there aren’t many to write home about. Some may cite the extra weight this car carries over the Aventador, but given the Revuelto is considerably stiffer and more powerful than its forebears, it’s a fair trade.
Despite a starting price exceeding £400,000 orders already stretch into 2026 – evidently Revuelto buyers are yet to feel the cost-of-living crisis pinch. However, if ever a car was worth 5-bedroom detached house prices, this Lambo is probably the one.
It can even be driven for around six miles on electric power alone, but why would you want to deprive yourself of such auditory thrills?
