What tyre load rating do I need?

The tyre load rating you need depends on the weight of your vehicle. And the maximum load that the tyres will carry.

You can find the recommended tyre size for a vehicle, including the load rating required, in your vehicle handbook. Alternatively you can contact the vehicle manufacturer for further information.

Tyre load ratings are indicated by a number on the sidewall of a tyre. This corresponds to the maximum load that the tyre can carry at its optimal tyre inflation pressure.

The load rating is a two or three digit number. The higher the number, the greater the load capacity.
