Product description & features
Featuring a highly improved compound that has been designed specifically to improve mileage, the HD3 22.5 also featured an original block design. This was developed in order to further improve mileage performance due to the reduction in ground contact area, thus reducing the potential wear of the tyre.
The HD 22.5 also includes multiple grooves and sipes integrated in the block design to deliver outstanding traction. Thanks to the excellent formulation of the HD 22.5, it has been awarded the M+S symbol – standing for Mud and Snow – showing that the HD 22.5 offers increased movement in the winter as well as exceptional traction in all seasons.
What are summer tyres?
Summer tyres are specifically designed for warm weather conditions, particularly during the summer season. This type of tyre performs best when in seasons with warmer temperatures - above 7°C.
How does a summer tyre perform better in summer?
The technologies and tread patterns used in a summer tyre mean the tyres have high-quality features that are of benefit to driving in warm conditions. They typically use a softer rubber compound – designed for good grip and traction when driving on dry and wet roads.
How can I tell if a summer tyre is suitable for winter weather?
The tyre features the EU sanctioned 3PMSF marking - Three Peak Mountain Snowflake:
This accolade was introduced to be an easily recognisable symbol which displays that the tyre has passed standardised, controlled, and, rigorous tests. It confirms the winter suitability of a tyre. Not all summer tyres have this accolade.
