The Pilot Sport 4 and RainSport 5 are two
summer tyres manufactured by
Michelin and
Uniroyal respectively.
The
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 has been a leading summer tyre since its release in 2016, shortly becoming a staple in Michelin’s tyre model line-up.
Uniroyal’s RainSport 5 is also a summer tyre, released in 2020 and has been a leading
mid-range tyre ever since.
Today, we will be covering both tyre models and comparing the key features of both tyres.
The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is a leading
premium tyre that has served as a great asset for Michelin to this day.
When it comes to summer tyres, it can be argued that the Pilot Sport 4 outlays everything that a premium summer tyre should have.
Michelin’s Dynamic Response Technology is equipped on the Pilot Sport 4, making the tyre’s responsiveness and steering more precise.
Longevity and mileage is strengthened through a hybrid aramid and nylon belt, enhancing the tread pattern of the tyre.
The Michelin Pilot Sport 4 replaced the
Pilot Sport 3 upon its release in 2016.
Car brands such as
Mercedes-Benz,
BMW, and
Tesla have all chosen the Pilot Sport 4 as an
OE tyre for several car models since the tyre’s inception.
The Uniroyal RainSport 5 is a mid-range summer tyre that offers optimal performances at a middle of the range price.
Uniroyal’s best-selling tyre gives safe levels of performance in rainy summer days, being developed with Shark Skin Technology that disperses water out of the tread pattern, reducing risks of aquaplaning.
The RainSport 5 is equipped with an innovative tread compound, giving the tyre low abrasion and durable treadwear.
Replacing the
RainSport 3 in 2020, the RainSport 5 has become a very important model for Uniroyal, giving customers an option of mid-range price and performance.

The Pilot Sport 4 has been heralded by the tyre/automotive industry, leading to successes in awards and recognitions.

Further showing how well-equipped the Michelin model is to various vehicles, the Pilot Sport 4 finished 1st in the AutoBild Sports Cars UHP Summer Tyre Test.
The Uniroyal RainSport 5 has seen success in both tyre tests and awards since its inception.
