Proxes TR1 Overview

The Toyo Proxes TR1 is a mid-range summer tyre released globally by Toyo in 2019.

A Taper Slit and a high-stiffness rib provides strong grip and efficient steering whilst cornering, enhancing the handling capabilities of the tyre.

Toyo have also developed the Proxes TR1 with a firm sidewall and tread pattern, further aiding the grip and handling of all car sizes.

Innovative wear indicators along the tyre’s tread pattern, giving motorists peace of mind through visual warnings of the tyre’s tread depth falling below legal requirements (1.6mm). This can help drivers plan for a tyre replacement in due time, providing safety and enhanced fuel efficiency.

Upon its release in 2019, the Toyo Proxes TR1 replaced the Proxes T1-R.

RainSport 5 Overview

The Uniroyal RainSport 5 is also a summer tyre, manufactured by Uniroyal since 2019.

Uniroyal’s wide ‘Shark Skin’ grooves cuts through the tyre’s tread blocks, which clears water efficiently from the tyre. This boosts wet grip performance and results in reducing the risk of aquaplaning.

Wet grip is further enhanced through Uniroyal’s utilisation of ‘Aqua-Twist’ sipes, effectively tackling water dispersion.

An advanced tread compound minimises abrasion, boosting longevity of the tyre. A redefined tread pattern balances pressure distribution across the tyre, ensuring high mileage and reducing external tyre noise.

The RainSport 5 replaced the RainSport 3 upon its global release in 2019.
