With time to get used to the car, Jonny finds he’s a fan of the looks of the Funky Cat, even if he does have to explain to passers-by that he’s not one of The Incredibles superheroes. However, it’s not all good news as there’s no rear wiper, so the back windscreen gets mucky too easily. On the road, Jonny has mixed feelings about the GWM Ora. He loves the way it keeps lumps and bumps isolated from the cabin, but the Funky Cat often has its own ideas about where the car should be positioned on the road and is not shy about letting Jonny know.

There is much to like about the driving range of the GWM Ora, as Jonny learns the car returns a real-world 170 miles per charge in winter months. That’s impressive when the heating is in constant use and the claimed driving range is 193 miles on a full charge. Jonny is also impressed with the spacious cabin and sumptuous materials used, which are easy to keep clean after the kids have been in the car. However, he’s not such a fan of the infotainment screen and its functions.
