Racing places extreme demands on a car and its tyres, which is why the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series has partnered with Hankook to use the latest Ventus Race tyre across all three of the championships held in Europe, North America, and Asia.
Competing on four continents with the three championships puts further unique challenges on the tyres as they have to cope with the humidity of Fuji, the incredible high speeds of Indianapolis, and the changeable weather at European tracks like Spa-Francorchamps.

It’s why Lamborghini and Hankook have worked to come up with a Ventus Race tyre that works in every condition to deliver the grip and feel that racing drivers need to push the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 to its absolute limits.
This brand new tyre has also been designed to deliver consistent feel and traction throughout the entire race, so the car feels the same on the first lap as it does on the last.
That’s vital when the drivers have a 620hp 5.2-litre V10 machine to pilot on a grid full of other racers who all want to be first past the chequered flag.
The Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 uses an engine based on the same one as the roadgoing Huracán. However, it comes with unique race parts such as the exhaust and electronics to cope with the stresses of motorsport. There’s also a six-speed sequential racing gearbox that sends the 5.2-litre V10 engine’s 620hp to the rear wheels of the stripped-out race car.
Hugely powerful brakes are used and rely on the Hankook tyres to bite into the race track every time for perfect stopping. As well as this, the Ventus Race tyres also must deal with the large amount of aerodynamic downforce created by the Huracán’s wings, much like that of a Formula 1 car.
The result of all this work between Hankook and Lamborghini is one of the most exciting and closely fought motor racing series anywhere in the world. When all three regional championships have come to a conclusion, the teams gather together for the Grand Final at Vallelunga in Italy on 18-19 November. Here, the teams line up for two 50-minute races to decide who is the best in the world and the overall winner of the 2023 series.
The Grand Final of the Super Trofeo has become a huge motorsport festival not just for the drivers and teams, but for racing fans from all over the world who flock to the track to enjoy the wheel to wheel racing.
Whoever emerges as the 2023 Lamborghini Super Trofeo victor in November, the Hankook Ventus Race tyre will be a key part of the winning package.
