The tyres grip well in all conditions but as for straight line speed and cornering they are not very good at all. It’s like driving a car on cross ply tyres. I only bought these Nankang tyres because they are the only tyre manufacturer that makes the size I need for my classic car. Just wish some of the other tyre manufacturers would start producing them again.

When first fitted these tyres handled terribly,probably due to a lot of moulding bobbles,spikey bits on the tread area of the tyre. Now that I have done nearly a thousand miles on them and worn the moulding bits off the tread they do handle better. To be honest I would normally go for a better make of tyre but nankangs are the only tyre manufacturer doing 155/80R12 tyres that are original size on my Mk1 Escort.
