A short while after I dropped my car off and went for a walk I received a phone call from Blackcircles in Scotland to say that my tyres couldn't be found at the garage, and to apologise for the hiccup. I then received another call to say that the garage had found them and my fitting could proceed. Apart from this glitch everything was fine. They then showed me uneven wear on the old front offside tyre and advised me to have the wheel alignment corrected, which I did.
