What are High Load tyres?

As the name may suggest, High Load (HL) tyres have been engineered to support the weight of heavier loads. This is compared to to standard tyres of the same size.

High load tyres are constructed with enhanced materials. This can include reinforced sidewalls and stronger belts. All of which adds up to allow the tyre manage additional weight.

High Load tyres are an ideal option for vehicles that frequently transport heavy loads.

They are also designed for electric vehicles. This is because EVs tend to be heavier than traditional diesel/petrol engine vehicles.

You can tell if a tyre is a High Load tyre by checking the sidewall. It it has been developed as a High Load tyre then it will have the letters HL printed on the side. It may also have the words High Load.
