The Tesla Model Y is a compact electric SUV Tesla first unveiled the Model Y in March 2019, production beginning the following year in January 2020.
Built upon the same platform as the Tesla Model 3, the Model Y shares many similar components - including the battery and the drivetrain. As of 2023, the Model Y is available in four different versions: the Standard Range, Long Range, Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive, and Performance. It has a range of up to 326 miles on a single charge and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. The Tesla Model Y was the recipient of Top Gear’s ‘Best Hassle-free EV’ award in 2022. It was also named Best Electric Vehicle in 2022 by Cars.com. The Model Y is fitted with various tyre models, such as the Michelin Pilot Sport EV.
