The Tesla Roadster is an electric sports car manufactured by Tesla, Inc. The original generation was produced between 2009 and 2012, with a new second generation starting production in 2023.

The first generation Tesla Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 125 mph. The Roadster's range is 245 miles per charge. The original model featured a 7-inch touch screen display in the dashboard so drivers can keep an eye on the performance, charging status, and other features of the vehcile. Many consier the Tesla Roadster to be a pioneer in the EV market - as it was the first mass produced all-electric sports car. It achieved many accolades, including Popular Mechanics 'Breakthrough of the Year' award in 2006.
